"Quizzler's Quest" at the Big Sioux Water Festival

   On May 14, the Big Sioux Water Festival, held on the SDSU Campus, completed its fourth year of the revised Quizzler's Quest program for the Quiz Bowl segment of the Water Festival.  Over twenty fourth grade classes from the Big Sioux Watershed area participated.  A new wizard, Bill Cunningham, participated and expanded the pool of advanced wizards.  It was a fun time for all Quiz Bowlers.  Once again the students amazed the wizards on the application and depth of their knowledge of the Watershed Tour materials.  They did a great job in showing their understanding of a Watershed and its influencing factors.

 "The Watershed Tour" is a LaMotte program. The Wizards responsible for constructing the Quizzler’s Quest segment of the quiz bowl are all South Dakota Lakes and Streams members.  The Watershed Tour addresses 44 of the 53 South Dakota Science Content Standards.
